Wow that's gorgeous Mrs S. I'm going to look at a couple of period town houses tomorrow at a similar price, but not that big! I'm not surprised it sold quickly, it's beautifully done out, and I love their use of colour

Yes it is lovely and they have been great neighbours. Sadly had to sell because the husband lost his job in the oil industry. I hope we get neighbours as nice as them.

RS your flat looks good, I hope you get a buyer soon.

Out of all those links, the Stonehaven house for me. Feels really warm and homely. That swimming pool in the French mansion is tiny! ;) That is sad Mrs Shanks, about your neighbours. :(

I've been looking into the leasehold thing because the agent asked me about it. 97 years to run. It may be sensible to apply for a section 24, so a potential buyer could renew in the next few years. Leasehold is annoying but about 97% of flats in Bristol are under it.

The garden of that house really is fabulous, the pictures don't do it justice. And you do get me as a neighbour which has got to put the value up :-)

Ebay is proving very useful. Sold 2 sofas and a dog kennel so far. Got to list my ladders tomorrow. Also bought a sofa, a dining table, a coffee table, and the most crazy dining chairs.
