Would never move myself again, too much hassle, arguments etc etc.

Sounds good Meglet - fingers crossed for a quick sale

Why are you getting rid of furniture XB and not taking it with you?

Are you having an open day Meglet?

Downsizing, RS. Quite a considerable reduction in floor space. And also a bit of a change in style.

Yes, by appointment not a free-for-all. 15th July.

Seen the brochure today it looks fab so should be online soon. Apparently it's 'exceptionally well presented' and 'delightfully situated' :-)

Also likely to have to get rid of a fair amount of furniture. Which I don't really mind. Need to call and book some more property viewings.

Mine's a by appointment too. Do they have free-for-alls? I went to one a while back which had 16 appointments in a day. T'was a lovely flat with a huge garden.

Yes there was a property in the area we are looking in that had an hour slot for open viewing on Saturday. It was empty though. Top of our budget and needed a complete overhaul. Would make a fab home though.

They're changing the board outside my home as it's almost invisible, a different coloured one will work better.

A flat has come up in the road near mine. Roughly the same except the door to the kitchen from the lounge is missing. No CH (like mine) but decor in better order. They also have a bath - mine was taken out by previous owner. rightmove.co.uk

You won't believe this! After scrutinising the properties, I realised that my details on Rightmove and Zoopla are the old, incorrect ones. I must've only scanned them in the week. Damn! I would say that I should have checked thoroughly, but I'm not lying when I say that I've had the week/s from hell at work and my feet haven't touched the . I've been covering for a multitude of colleagues, some of whom get paid more than me!

Oh and I bumped into someone today and told him I'd had trouble selling. He said, yeah lovely by the woods but the estate's got some issues. I think it must've had about 10 years ago and old rumours take a long time to die away.

Bad reputations take a long time to go away. Many people have said to me 'oh you don't want to be in *that* part of Harrogate'. Which I don't, but I might have taken a look if I hadn't heard it several times. The property there is better value though

Exchanged yesterday. Phew. Completion on Thursday. Removal men should finish mid-afternoon today unless they have many more coffee breaks.
