Mine went on last night with new agents. Looks minimal by contrast. I have to admit that I've removed some items - wardrobe, futon, bicycle for better viewing access. Just in case folks are wondering why it looks so bare. It's a shame the gardeners didn't turn up to sort out the front garden but it's low maintenance and not too much of an issue. Being modern, I know it looks a bit sterile, but it has a nice vibe and lovely views over the woods at the back. rightmove.co.uk |

I like the minimalist look and it is the best for selling, that's why show flats don't have clutter. It looks great.

Swastika was near a window in the study, also what looked like a Bren Gun was on the floor

Flat looks great RS, I don't think it looks particularly minimal, just clean and tidy and uncluttered. My house was clinically tidy yesterday for the pics, I shall make look a bit more lived in for visits. I've seen a couple of horrific looking properties, one last night with some very garish paint, and one completely cluttered with stuff. I'll try and find the links later. You do wonder where the owners will pit all the stuff when they move! |

I've seen a few properties on line with scrunched up t-shirts lying around and sweaty-looking items of clothing draped generally.

Seriously?! The worst I've seen is scrunched up bedding. (Apart from clutter and decor) Or the empty property that looks quite tatty. A couple of the houses I want to view are with online estate agents. Can't say I like the experience so much, it feels very impersonal and you don't get a brochure in your hand to scribble on. |

Those are usually houses with rented tenants who refuse to tidy up. You'd be daft to buy with tenants in the house for many reasons unless intending to let it out with the same tenants
