After 3 failed attempts at this yesterday I only went out to do it again this morning and bagged myself a PB 8:50.

I ran an 8:53 last mile at PR on Saturday and that was on a slight downward slope and didn’t think I’d get anywhere near this so I’m really chuffed 😁

If you look in races you should be able to see the May virtual mile race. I normally do a mile warm up then run the mile then do a mile or so cool down but that bit is up to you. You then enter your mile time as you would for any other race then come in here and tell us all about it 😁

EvilPixie in races there is a May virtual mile, add it to your races and run you mile, record your time.

Well done on your PB too Jaks and thank you all for the fetch love

I will be trying FF, if only to prove to myself it wasnt a fluke

is it one 1 specific day or you can run it any day but the race entry is just on 1 day for ease?
I might try this from next month

x-post Jaks and I do the same run to warm up and cross the road then reset my lap to run my mile, then cool down.

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
