Mile one 300 ft climb 12min 08sec

Mile two 205 ft descent 7min 39sec

I'm claiming Mile two. It wasn't all downhill and I did run hard ;-)

I'm doing a 65 mile walk over next weekend, have a cataract op (right) on May 8 and second (left) May 30. I think May's attempt might have to be Wednesday or Thursday this week :-O

9.43pm isn't late. I've done a few streaks. They've all be in winter and have featured a few post 11.30pm 'savers'

There's the infamous streakers trick of doing in effect two day's runs either side of midnight. I've never done it but was tempted a few times

One of the things I enjoyed about lock-down was going out running at night and everywhere being deserted

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
