Sombrero
Last year: June 7.27, July 7.17, Aug 7.23, Oct 7.14, Nov 7.08..... Tonight 7.04. Excellent running Sombrero Did you have anything left? Can you get under 7 do you think?

Thank you, I was keeping one eye on the watch trying to do 7, it was quite windy last night and I knew I had a track session to after so there a bit more in the tank. Not a lot though.

Well done for your attempt and especially before having a track session too. Hopefully next time there will be a bit less wind.

Virtual mile 6:26
Out and back course as where I planned on doing it would have made it a mile swim.
Nice evening despite the breeze and drizzle. Shorts and t-shirt weather especially during the mile.

Slightly disappointed with time but may have another go later this month

Well done riggys99, you've had that time previously so nothing wrong with it and you were 2 seconds faster than February. As you say there's always another opportunity to improve.

I forgot to post last, I did mine on Thursday morning. I ran 8.18, not as fast as I wanted but I had a head wind, the road I used was undulating and it was 6am!

Well done Sweetie!

Well done Sweetie and Lesley.

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
