Go out and have fun! I'll try to spot you all - my club parks supporters on Tower Bridge left side just after you cross.

Up and ready to go, although I’m tired again. Just been down for breakfast and the hotel is full of runners, but some of them look terrified. One lady there with who I presume was her daughter was almost hyper ventilating so hopefully she’ll be ok.

My girlfriend has what I think is an ambitious plan to try and see me 4 times. She’s an expert ‘spectathlete’, and she saw me 6 or 7 times at Berlin for example, but London is harder and seemed an endurance event in itself getting around as a spectator the one time I did it.

Good luck everyone. Looking forward to all the stories.

About This Thread

Maintained by Kirsty
After getting lucky in the ballot yesterday, I couldn’t find a thread, so thought I’d start one. Bit of background: I ran 7 marathons (2 London, 2002 and 2006) between 2002 and 2016, fastest 4:06, slowest 5:09. Major health issues in 2017 and 2019 and I felt that my marathon days were over, but I kept entering the ballot, safe in the knowledge I wouldn’t get in - and now I have! I am probably looking at walking the whole way, or possibly jeffing. I’m very excited and very nervous!
