Thanks, Sharkie :) Yes, all these challenges are brilliant in principle but just don't make me think, "I want to do that." I do need to do a block of strength training now. Even eL Bee! couldn't make my shoulders look shapely on Sunday.

It's not the challenge. Am not really a fan of challenges - look how I avoid the virtual races every year and I don't do the 12 days of Fetchmas thing. No - I just need someone I trust to tell me what to do, what weight and for how long.

Preferably no more than 30 minutes.

Hi, I completed iron 30 days recommended by Geordiegirl, shame she's not on commission. ๐Ÿค‘ I really enjoyed it.

I've now completed day 24/50 of epic heat. While I still enjoy this one I find it a lot quicker and I often struggle to keep up with Caroline.

Epic heat does have a cardio day which is really good fun in a sadistic sort of way. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

I was going to do day 2 tonight but it looks as though it's best done with a greater variety of weights than I have in the flat (I only have 3kg DBs), so I'll do it at the gym tomorrow instead. Promise...!

Pops in to thread and waves! ๐Ÿ‘‹

I have my own (non CG program) that I do three times a week, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays. But I've been doing some of the CG upper body focused sessions as my Saturday session. Was wondering if I should go to the beginning and do 'day 1' tomorrow. What do people think? Wonder if it'll make any difference as I'm only planning on doing her sessions once a week? TIA

Iโ€™m absolutely loving how many of you are embracing the strength training I am getting all the FOMO that I canโ€™t go and throw some weights around.

Will be checking up on Pix , Sally is safe from my gimlet gaze.

Ness, it really depends on what you want. Day One is very legs based if you feel you need upper body. But sometimes it fun to do what others are doing, to see what the fuss is about, to be able to complain in a 'yikes' sort of way ... or just because.

BUT please don't compromise your obviously effective, well planned well executed strength sessions. x

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
Caroline Girvan - tiny but tough, sweet but strong.

Here's a thread rather in the manner of the Shred craze that swept Fetchland some years ago, or perhaps more recently (and less bossily) Adriene's 30 Days of Yoga each year. I found Caroline Girvan via geordiegirl (ta, GG!) and am well impressed with her workouts. I'm currently on Day 27 of her 30 day Iron Series and have STUCK TO IT. Wonders will never cease, I was beginning to despair of the likelihood of me getting any sort...
