Pam runs
@Red Squirrel if you have an Asda home near you, that's where I got my dumbbells from. They have 1kg up to 5kg then some heavier kettle bells. 5kg is more than enough for me.

Hello everyone I was determined to get back to Iron today, having done nothing for about five weeks. Ten minutes into day 18 (glutes) I stopped. My hamstrings had kicked in on the hip thrusts. And there were too many lunges for my frame of mind! Eleven days left. Tomorrow is full body. I will complete it eventually. Then I might repeat it but substitute other things for some of the lower body sessions I didn't get on with. |

Well done on persevering @sallykate I swapped about the other day as my Achilles was tight so didn’t want to mess with that so did shoulders from 5 days ahead. It’s all good stuff even in the wrong order. |

Thanks @Elsie Too I absolutely love some of her sessions but have never been a lunge fan, my knees are too crunchy.

I'm determined to get back to some sort of consistency as I really did see and feel the benefits after going through Iron twice. I did Day Four for the fourth time today - although I'm counting it as Take Three as I feel I've messed about with week one on and off this third time. It's such a good full body workout and believe it or not (and I didn't) I went heavier than before on some things. 2 x 8kgs on my third set of bent over rows and managed 2x6kgs on the third set of push press shoulder press. As I'm slight upper body wise (as well as ANCIENT) I'm pleased with this. Also did 2 x 10kg on the RDLs but know I can deadlift (legs! Long flexible hammies) so am not as impressed with myself with these. Same with the heel elevated squats. |
