Belatedly well done to all, and an extra nod to Sharkie for getting through it twice! Great to see the progression in weight. It's definitely doing some good.

I've made it to day 22 and the warm weather is definitely making it more challenging, the sweaty mess stage arrives far sooner than I'd like! Still got a foot niggle - feels like I've bruised my heel - but I've been out on my bike and hopefully the hills felt slightly better thanks to all this work. Going to dial it back a little bit this week as I have a swim half-marathon next Sunday but should get to day 30 by the end of the month.

I agree re the warm weather CasB

Iron day 16
RDL 5kg
Balance RDL 2.5kg
Hamstring thrust 5kg
Single leg hip thrust very difficult, couldn’t do the hold.
Lower back was aching by the end so don’t think my technique was very good

Encouraged by Elsie and the rest of you regular posters I managed to squidge in Day Two upper body (for the third time). I'm in the middle of a very intensive dance fortnight but really don't want to let my Caroline habit slide too much. I don't need legs (they're getting a battering every day!) but upper body and core... YEP!

I’m going away for a couple of days with my son to Portsmouth today. No weights for a few days but there will be lots of walking round the historic dockyards and sone paddle boarding.

Such a lovely blog! I'm also very grateful to this thread for motivation and accountability. And Elsie, though I'm sure it's been - and still is - really frustrating at times to have to build back so gently, you're really showing the value of patience, listening to your body, and trusting a careful, steady process. Hope you have a lovely time in Portsmouth.

I got to day 25 on Friday, had a long swim event on Sunday, day 26 will happen either tonight or tomorrow morning depending on whether I'm needed to help with timekeeping at track this evening.

I'm tackling day 16 of Iron today - hamstrings - there will be hip thrusts, which caused me problems last time but I'll give it a go - maybe a cushion on the bench will help!

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
Caroline Girvan - tiny but tough, sweet but strong.

Here's a thread rather in the manner of the Shred craze that swept Fetchland some years ago, or perhaps more recently (and less bossily) Adriene's 30 Days of Yoga each year. I found Caroline Girvan via geordiegirl (ta, GG!) and am well impressed with her workouts. I'm currently on Day 27 of her 30 day Iron Series and have STUCK TO IT. Wonders will never cease, I was beginning to despair of the likelihood of me getting any sort...
