Hi Sharkie! Having only dabbled with the odd session here and there, I've decided to stick with my none CG sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (because they're solid sessions that work for me) and do a CG session on a Saturday afternoon. Last Saturday I managed to do an hour session of 'day 2' followed by 'day 3', although I hadn't got any glute bands so couldn't do some of the exercises to the fullest. I bought these yesterday so I can do the exercises properly next time. On Saturday I hope to able to try day 4 (which I think is a full body dumbbell curcuit) followed by day 5 (arms and abs). It'll be interesting to see if I can manage both in the same day. |

I'm trying to use a weight that I can keep going with for the full minute Pix. I'm not sure if I should try heavier but I'm like SK, in wanting to try and get the form right. (Hope things go OK for your visit to your mum if you do end up visiting). |

I agree with Sally, 'I'm using a weight which challenges me but which I can use for the full minute.' And Ness. But... 'which challenges me' is important. Occasionally, if there are three sets, I've swapped up or down - and sometimes back again. |

Have just repeated Day 10 - back and biceps. Was tough even though I didn't really up the weights from a month ago. I did do the Pullovers correctly this time though - lengthening the arms as far as poss away behind the head. i have very mobile shoulders so -having lengthened all the way to the floor with fairly straight arms (just slight bend in elbows) I let go of the 10kg DB...and couldn't lift it up again from that position. So had to continue with the handy 8kg that was by my side. Muppet! |

Good tip. Thanks, Sharkie. I'll look at weights that will hopefully challenge a bit more for the next session.

Glute bands look nice and strong Ness. Mine are a set of three from Aldi (nNew Year Specials as per!) I only use the medium and heavy - but don't think there's a standard toughness!

I don't know if there is, Sharkie. I was just going to buy the medium but Mr Ness was panicking that I might overstrain my hip if I use that first so he made me buy the light one as well. These were about a fiver each so not too expensive. Will remember to check on the Aldi specials though. Their stuff is pretty good.

Well I decided to give CG a go. I'm not good at doing home sessions, much prefer the gym, but wanted to top up my gym work with short CG sessions. So yesterday did lower body kettlebell session, which I enjoyed, no DOMS today. I used to go to kettlebell classes years ago and loved them. Today I did a chest and triceps session. My upper body is very weak and even though my dumbbells were light my triceps were trashed from halfway through the session and I can't do press ups so skipped that part. I have only one kettlebell and a couple of sets of light dumbbells. Not intending to buy more, I'm more interested in technique than upping the weights. I'd planned to clean the kitchen this afternoon, better make sure I do so as I think tomorrow the DOMS in my triceps will stop any housework. |

My DOMS from day 1 have finally disappeared. Did day 2 today using max 2.5kg dumbbells and smaller for some. Did manage to complete all reps so maybe could have gone slightly heavier for some but I’m happy to take it slowly and steadily.
