Thanks @Feleecy Navidad Its that triangular of feelings of being excited for them going, sad that they are leaving, and oh so bloody envious!

Results were in back in Larkim homeland; not the grades he needed, but after actually putting in some work on the clearing hotlines got a place at where would have been the third choice Uni with some significant softening of their grade boundaries. Will spend the next week resisting having a dig at him for not pulling his finger out quite in the way we cajoled him to, but in the end he's still on his journey to the next stage of his early adult life and all the "missed" grades have cost him are a few phone calls!

Well done everybody's teens! And for those fearing/thinking about empty nests, one year on I can tell you we have a full house + 1. Funny how things work out! We don't expect an empty nest for a significant amount of time now eldest has moved back in, with his girlfriend. Of course that brings a whole new other world of things, not normally discussed in this thread (but I know a couple of work colleagues and family members who have been through exactly the same thing). |

@larkim he will figure it. Mr LF learned the hard way about how much work was needed but has had a graduate career and has a good degree. There's different paths. Cuthbert has been poorly and will need to keep an eye on his condition forever. It's like relearning trust and giving him independence. |

Well done to all the fetchie teens. Special mention to LindsD and LittleD for persevering through some particularly tricky times. Groundhog and offspring as well.

I've really enjoyed reading about all the relief and/or success of a great bunch of Fetch teens. Well done to everyone I'm losing my boy to uni this Sept as well. I have loved having him here during his year off - he has matured so much since this the last year and it's been more like sharing a house with a really good friend rather than my offspring I will miss him so much. |

I found it really hard when DragonSon went to uni last September after having had a year off where I saw a lot of him. But it has been good as well 😊

Well done all the FetchTeens. Good luck to them as they spread their wings and hugs to those left at home.
