Daughter got what she needed for her first choice - medicine at Leicester. We were on holiday in Croatia until Tuesday, so missed any anxiety. She spent lots of time with granny helping her to get to various appointments and with working at the local care home, so she was busy. Her friends were more anxious than her apparently as they were mostly kicking around without much to do. We're very proud of her, especially after all the years of anorexia. There will be big changes for us for the next year with both children away, but we're just far too busy to think of the what that will be like. |

DaughterDragon got excellent grades and is very happy. In September there will be no children here either which feels quite odd. But good also

So happy for all the Fetch teens. We will also be without children at home, provided she gets accommodation, which isn't guaranteed as she's gone through clearing and is applying for London universities.

Ds2 finally checked his results after we all fell asleep about the time they came out. Think he's a bit disappointed by getting 3% less than the grade he hoped for in one subject, and overall a bit disappointed by his results not reflecting his ability, but he doesn't mind too much overall. Life goes on, I'm just relieved that chapter is closed!

And Joopsy it's absolutely fine to be happy for your kid to be off but also sad at the same time. I can imagine with 4 kids it must be a big adjustment. Though the average age of adult children leaving home nowadays must be the mid to high 20s, gone are the days when they went off to uni and never came back. I'm expecting both mine to boomerang back at some stage
