Morning.

Lyrics: yes, easy one. Takes me back to school days, although I hated it at the time.

What: 13.1 Caithness Half marathon
Why: to give myself a data point for where I actually am now. Last proper half was, I think Edinburgh in 2009. 15 years later, with at least 10 of those years involving basically no running....I need to just ignore everything my head is telling me about "don't do it" and go find out where I am now. Training and common sense says 2 hours is a reasonable target.

Last hard: Last week sometime
Last rest: yesterday

Yesterday's lyrics were "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" (Elton John) - don't know today's

Grandchildren sitting today, may or may not get a run in later.

Good August mileage @HazelnutCH

@Slowboy Caithness Half is where the Orkney runners all suffered from the heat a few years back - freak 25⁰C hotspot that dropped to about 15⁰ on return to ferry.

Today is last entry for Harry half next Sunday but I think I might give it a miss as I am not quite ready yet.
