I find that I am frequently 1st in my age group - often the only one. Now that I am in the 75+ age group, this will happen even more frequently. Of course I am getting consistently slower nowadays!

It's impressive that you are still running frequently, Ev, and at a decent pace; many over 70s can't run and some can struggle with walking! You are an inspiration.

Totally agree FM I know my mum has inspired quite a few people to don their trainers.
Ev you’re so dedicated to you plan I could & should learn from you . Keep running!

Oh dear! What have I got to live up to now? Thank you both for those very kind words, and may God bless you and keep you safe this Christmas time - and beyond, of course.

I plan to aim for this, when the park runs are back running, I’ve never ran a park run so it will be interesting to see what I can do.

Morning CL. Welcome to the thread. Parkruns are great for a weekly time trial. Hopefully we’ll get back to them before too many more months.

Today's 4 miles was a struggle from the getgo. I never found my rhythm and it was hard work all the way. There was quite a lot of walking, but it's done.

Well done FestiveMedals. I did a run tonight but I couldn't get a GPS signal so it did not measure the distance properly. It will be interesting to see what I do on Sunday although I am very nervous as the predicted times for the racers are very quick.
