Impressive stuff, rhb. A sub-17 is something I am certain I will never get, alas. Great achievement!

15.59 for me. Small improvement so happy.
Splits -
1m - 4:58(4:58/m) 110cal 12.09/13.5mph 2) 1m - 5:08(5:08/m) 116cal 11.69/12.21mph 3) 1m - 5:15(5:15/m) 118cal 11.45/12.19mph 4) 0.14m - 39(4:37/m) 15cal 13.01/13.27mph
Despite slowing I caught and passed quite a few who'd set off like they were leaving a burning building.
Strength endurance still lacking so need to continue to get the tempo and hill work in and hopefully that 3rd mile will quicken up.

impressive runs both of those. Great improvement across the series rhb, from here it looks like you just decided that you would run faster across the series and committed to that. That's impressive and something I can certainly learn from. Maybe you've got one more race so EVEN quicker is on?
It's not the done thing to say but I really don't like dogs. That pic is not changing my mind!!

NN nice sub 16, fast finish! Good Parkrun following that too.
^^^ pic = ouch!
WW - race 1 I set off too hard and suffered later on but yes have tried to up it each time, as I did in 2017 too.
I've got Race the Train 14mile 2 days after Sizzler #4 and I ran out of steam (geddit?!) at mile 12 on that last year after a 17.11 5k on the Thurs night so #4 in two weeks will be sensibly slower now sub 17 has been done.

Good runs NN.
Plateau central here for me with a 4:28.5 1500m at the final T&F league of the season, my 5th between 4:27.1 and 4:29.6. It's a good series, all faster than my PB last year but feel I could race a little better and could get a bit more out. Still not finishing my final 400 like I should, today I ran 300 out if 400. Also need to commit more on first lap.
Might be my final 1500 of the season although I'd like to find something over the bank holiday weekend.
Looking forward to MK5000 next weekend now.
Also ran the 4x400, 63 so nothing special.

Good luck at mk. I guess it'll feel slow after those 1500!
