Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Only just seen your other post Sharkie: I was into hill walking and mountain biking previously, then started running in 2003/2004. I did some road races but preferred fell / trail running tbh. I did the Bob Graham in 2011, but never did a 5K when I did my best road times c 2007 which is sad because I’ll never know what I could have done bearing in mind my Parkrun pace now is about par for my 10 mile PB but means I have a distance I can still improve on. I feel a blog coming on

8k or so run today.
Warm up run, lunges, side steps, marching, A skips, high knees, butt flicks, 3 sets of those, 4x50m strides. Then 2x4x90s off if 90:180s. Slightly uneven pacing. Warm down run. A proper session. Best in a while.

What did you think of it Derby Tup ? Specifically the 6 x 300m (very much track fare in my book).

Certainly a quality session if executed satisfactorily. Company counts, hope yours were mates.

I was with friends, but all bar one are appreciably faster and younger than me. As is often the case pacing is a mystery to me. I’m not sure I did the 300s fast enough. However I did see 5:xx on my Garmin for the first time ;-) I didn’t feel destroyed by the session and felt okay today (I’ve been out for a very steady short fell run with friends tonight)

Generally I loved it. I’ll be back for sure. What was amusing is a jog recovery pace after running hard feels like treading water

A place to record your quality sessions. Once a week for a kick off, if you can. Doesn't have to be running but for once I'm asking for exercise related stuff.

It has to be a session that you feel ticks all the boxes, something you really commit to, do what you mean to do. No half hearted stuff, but no plod through it either. In the words of my elite sprinter friends, you 'execute'. (Not really my friends it's just what they say on the telly.) Not necessarily hard, a...
