Great! Pacing gets easier the more track you do. Don't know how but it does. And lol at your last sentence.

We were just about to start and I said (joking, honestly) ‘do we all run round in the same direction?’. There’s a lot going on Tuesday including some very fast youngsters training. One of them beat Johnny Brownlee at a local race on Boxing Day

The last mile of my 5 mile run was proper driving hard with an attempted sprint for the last 50m. One road crossing but otherwise kept at it

Great effort Dipps! I find it so difficult to add hard miles at the end, it's like my legs just get locked into a pace and don't want to go faster.
A kind of over/unders session for me today, longish warmup then 10 x 2 mins at 5k effort with 2 min steady run recoveries around MP. Turned out quite well and the session went by surprisingly quickly, it was about 8 miles total with 4.5 of that being the quality part of the session. I prefer sessions like this to tempo runs, seems easier for some reason.

Back on the road tonight: warm-up, 2 x 1 mile with 3 mins recovery, cool down. Total 5.5 miles. Enjoyed it
