A place to record your quality sessions. Once a week for a kick off, if you can. Doesn't have to be running but for once I'm asking for exercise related stuff.
It has to be a session that you feel ticks all the boxes, something you really commit to, do what you mean to do. No half hearted stuff, but no plod through it either. In the words of my elite sprinter friends, you 'execute'. (Not really my friends it's just what they say on the telly.) Not necessarily hard, although it might be. I would like people to describe the session and why it is quality. I think this could encourage and inspire others. And it would be interesting.
You can note MORE than one quality session a week but in that case you have to also have a quality rest and recovery session. This is to cater for self.
Won't suit everyone, obvs, but could be good if you're in a rut or getting bogged down by winter training and/or plodding around mindlessly.

Thought (if it takes off) might keep it going 'til Christmas when real Quality Street may or may not be available.

Nice idea Sharkie.
I need to work on my base, and feel that a quality session might just be plodding round, but i guess i need to quantify that by ensuring i'm in the right HR zone etc..

Great stuff, Dipps. Have you not done boot camp type stuff before? Endless Phys exercises got in the way perhaps?
I'm hoping this week's entry for me will be tomorrow at Lee Valley with Gemma, my coach. Today I was a bit hopeless and all over the place.

Not since I had a free training session with the royal marsden for my marathon. I thought it would be a training run and was much perturbed to be finding myself doing crunchies and ladder drills in a public place. I had an online pt session once but my PF precluded pretty much everything. So this is a new venture

It 'could' qualify, lammo. I suppose it's up to you what you see as quality. But there would need to be a degree of (buzz word alert!) mindfulness about it.

I will join in as my quality sessions are Boot camp twice a week with PT.Although only once this week due PT going to the big smoke.

Thanks Sharkie, i think my ride this week, identified that i am riding mindlessly, and it isn't helping.
Frustratingly i enjoy it and feel like i've had a work out, but it's not the best option for helping me progress.
The Dark Lord would kick my butt if he knew what a feckless wastrel i am
