Ah, AL! I was trying to say I like the way you did what you meant to over Christmas. I think some people now think they're failing or at least amiss if they don't run on Christmas Day.

Am dead pleased with my high jump session at Lee Valley this morning. It started so badly with three refusals but I lowered the bar ten jumps later equalled my SB - only jumped that height once this year, last year or the year before that.

Superb, Sharkie :)

I did a Christmas morning parkrun. Not impressively, but I went when I might have decided not to bother and I had a pleasant run with a trace of speed in it. And yesterday afternoon I was about to go out for a walk and I gave myself a shake and put on running shoes instead.

Well done, Sharkie.

Realised I haven't posted on here for a while. Not sure if this counts but today Mr Ness and I went hiking in the hills near Santiago Del Teide and I was much more confident at tackling the steep bits. In fact we're going to try a slightly more challenging route later in the week.

Am so pleased. I cleared 1.01 on my high jump today, under loads of pressure. 78.3 wava. Good clearance too - there were very good reasons I didn't just carry on from there (I've blogged the circs)

Also did LJ which got almost back on track and 10 minutes very encouraging jav to finish.

Brilliant, Sharkie. Well done.

I managed to hike to the "Cruz de los Misionaros" today. Was really pleased I managed to negotiate the trail. I think it shows the flexibility in my hip is improving a little.

A place to record your quality sessions. Once a week for a kick off, if you can. Doesn't have to be running but for once I'm asking for exercise related stuff.

It has to be a session that you feel ticks all the boxes, something you really commit to, do what you mean to do. No half hearted stuff, but no plod through it either. In the words of my elite sprinter friends, you 'execute'. (Not really my friends it's just what they say on the telly.) Not necessarily hard, a...
