Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Those miles are racking up Donnie1. Nice variation by using the treadmill too. I think Mrsb does well on similar variation especially in winter.
5.35 miles in the forest with some "welly" can't be bad hs! Interesting that your perceived effort doesn't give you an increased anaerobic threshold. However, maintaining what you've got is amazing.
Merlin's magic is clever gg! It's great that you're seeing so much these days. And running pretty well too.
As for effort put in hs, doesn't seem to make much difference to my running what effort I put in. There are good days, easier days, tough days and ugh days and I'm still waiting for the miracle! Been on the medication for twelve months now.

Thank goodness for you guys keeping me at it!

Well done Donnie1 for your 5 miles on roads and 5k on the gym treadmill.

Thanks Steve, it seems that whatever sessions I try, the anaerobic status refuses to rise. My aerobic status is always good though. We are doing the Alice Holt parkrun tomorrow, so I will 'give it some welly' to see if that works. You are doing really well, with your running/walking, putting in the effort on your good days.

Just the usual Friday Farmers Walk this morning. It was quite chilly in the NE wind.

Loving the welly giving! I must start to incorporate that soon.

Chilling riverside with tea at the moment then into town and sailing up to godmanchester. I will probably not run today but aiming to get out tomorrow as I love it up there.

These last few days have certainly been perfect weather wise and for running early morning has been perfect with around 6c. Should be great for park running today.
Just 3.2 miles on varied terrain and still the inability to run continuously but too bad! Hundreds of lycra clad cyclists early this morning heading west to Tenby on their annual 100 miler from Cardiff. A fit lot and able to talk as they whizzed along!
Hope Alice Holt is conducive to giving it some welly hs!

Hello everyone, I've been trying to read everything that's been going on but life has been rather busy recently.
My first run today since 17th April a slow and steady 3.2 miles.

Well done Steve for your 3.2 miles on multi terrain this morning.

We didn't do the Alice Holt parkrun this morning, as the other two runners overslept, and the drive would have taken approx 65 minutes. We did the local Bartley parkrun instead, see below.

Welcome back FF! Well done for this mornings slow and steady 3.2 miles.

As mentioned above, we ran in the Bartley Park parkrun, which is still 4 hilly laps, finishing at the top of a hill. The good news is that work is due to commence shortly to repair the broken footbridge. This would enable the course to resort to the original 2 laps, which should produce quicker times. My official time was 29.50, which is my quickest this year on the Bartley parkrun. 69th of 147 runners, 1stAG 75-80 of 2, 11th of 147 Age Grade, WAVA 68.87%. No increase in anaerobic threshold unfortunately 😕
