This morning my wife and I went up to a local track, which though not a pristine surface, is reasonable apart from a few small muddy patches! I felt as if I'd be sluggish and I felt stiff at first but by the end of the w/u felt much better. After w/u I did 4x1km.(+300m. slow jog RBI) in times of 5:35, 5:31, 5:27 & 5:13. I felt encouraged especially with the last one. Perhaps in the new year I can make progress improving my 5K times, etc. Tomorrow hopefully I can do another 5mls. to reach 700, which is an improvement on last year.

10 miles on the training plan this morning but I ended up doing 11 alongside the river.

156 miles for the month. 1028 for the year, not bad for believing I wouldn't make 1000.

Happy new year to one and all and see you in the new thread, thanks once again Lesley.

Well done Evangel, your fitness certainly appears to be returning.

An excellent way to finish the year FF. I'm sure that in 2020, you will be much higher in the league table.

Thanks for all the admin work you do for us Lesley, and I'm hoping that your baby is doing well☺

I finished the year off with a 10.3 mile road run with a club mate. I forgot to restart my Garmin at one point, so it only registered 10 miles. The club has organised an hangover hobble in the forest tomorrow morning at 11am. I think I might give it a miss, as I'm due some recovery time, after the mileage I've put in this year.

Wishing you all a very happy and peaceful new year.

May I wish everyone a very happy, and moderately sober, new year.
