Hope you all had a very happy Christmas, and looking forward to a peaceful New Year.

Steve, I've never run on an empty stomach, otherwise I would probably get a stitch, or run out of steam.

Evangel, I hope you manage to get to 700 miles, but the important thing is that you are still running and injury free.

FF, well done for reaching the 1,000 mile target.

I've run all over the Christmas period and done an 8 day streak. I will be doing a parkrun tomorrow which will take me to 1,700 miles. I didn't start this year with a particular target, having struggled to reach 1,000 the previous 2 years. I won't set a target for next year either, just see how it goes.

MMM, from fairly recent experience, I think I can say that PF breathing down your neck would be preferable to PF on the heel! Eekx3!!

Today was my 49th parkrun and the course was very wet and muddy. The start and finish areas were changed, in an attempt to avoid the areas with most likely congestion.

Another 5 miles done this morning along the Amman Valley cycleway. That brings me to 690, so maybe I'll reach 700 by Tuesday midnight, which is less than half of what some of you guys & guyesses have done. Tomorrow's my rest day though.
