57.5 Degrees of Pain
I hate that some races don't give alcohol .
My favourite prizes have been hand painted mugs from the Tain 10k (one of which took a PB to sneak into the final prize position) and a hand painted tile from the Newtonmore 10 miler. The one that got away was a US$100 supermarket voucher where a 5 mile PB missed the final prize by a few seconds.
There are piles of barely worn t-shirts in this house.

Alcohol is no good as a race memento or prize, I end up giving it away as neither of us drink.

Banana and a small tub of Vaseline for all finishers at a local 10K. Practical!

Fuel and anti chafing for next time 🙄😀
Wasn’t the most expensive race to enter I think it was the cheapest memento option.

I got a towel at my most recent race. I hate getting t-shirts, they all live in a plastic box along with my race numbers and medals. One day I'll have a medal hanger put up in the hallway. Looking forward to getting a collapsible cup later this year.

I dont take the medals at many races I do, rarely take a tshirt as they are sacks and never good colours, usually goodie bags go in the bin.
I always accept trophies and prizes
