Wardi - regarding your question about Worcester Pitchcroft. The answer is it depends.

If there is an event on at the race course then it'll be cancelled, so that's the first thing to check.

If there's an event on at the rowing club then they do this nasty out and back with 3 u-turns. It can get pretty slow and congested with people running in both directions.

But the normal route is a fast, flat clockwise loop that you do 1.5 times before a 100m finish stretch on grass. Mostly on tarmac paths apart from trail sections at the start, when you cross the middle of the race course and the finish straight.

Best to check the facebook page to see what they're doing this week, but I'd assume the normal route. It's their 2yr anniversary apparently.

I like a vest too. Pity the milestone tees don't come in a vest variant. In the summer I'd like to wear an apricot vest apart from the fact they aren't available (yet?). All races are in club vest, short shorts and quick shoes!

I have 2 medals made of gingerbread and I still have them, plus a medal made of chocolate which is 10 years old (it's in gold foil)

I had a gingerbread medal once as well.

I did intend to keep it for a little while, but hunger took over once I got my breath back so only the ribbon survived!

We had medals once at Stevenage..... They were left over from another event and the mayor was visiting so it gave him something to do ( perhaps they should have put on barcode scanning)

We had the mayor at Prospect once, the idea was that after the run briefing I would invite her to say a few words. Unfortunately I completely forgot and sent the runners over to the start. She ended up doing her speech from the edge of our wide start, I'm sure most runners couldn’t even see her, let alone hear 😆
