I still use a mug I got from the Sutton 10k in 2015. This year it was a shirt (still useful but even I who hardly do any races have a drawer full of such shirts!)

I'd never turn up my nose at a coaster, my strong preference being one made of slate.

I got a towel from the East Hull 20 a few years ago which I used to take to work when I was regularly commuting by bike, but hadn't used it in a while - switched to microfibre - and didn't realise that my lovely wife had put it in a bag of old towels which she stores in the back of the car for cleaning up after our carsick daughter until I was handed it in a car park to put in a bin during a long journey last week.

No time for sentiment, that woman ;-)

Socks wouldn't be a bad shout for trail races in wet places. Easy to forget a spare dry pair for the end.
From New Year's Eve to today, 7 races, 4 t-shirts (one cotton and paid separately), 5 medals, and one beer.

Ouch for the towel. I like that idea.

+1 for a towel. The Birchwood 10k [Warrington] gave a good quality towel with embroidered logo for many years.

The Mad Dog 10k does tee/vest, rucksack, towel, buff/hat and socks.

I've never seen a goodie bag like it!

I have a Wimbledon Mug they gave to the top 20 at an anniversary race in 2007 I think

They gave them to the top 20 and I was 20th, out kicked a guy to the line and felt terrible when I realised I had the last mug

Kept the mug mind you :¬)

Lol. Last parkrun I did, I was reeling a younger guy in at the last bend, about 200m from the end, he spotted me and kicked and thought he'd dropped me. I caught him up with a handful of metres to go and taunted him a teeny bit instead of shooting by silently and he dropped me again :) :)

I've got 9 of those Glen Clova mugs Dei. Well, I *had* 9. My wife has broken quite a few. I started asking Forfar Road Runners if they had old ones that I could replace, until the number broken exceeded the number still intact!

Oh yeah, coasters, got the 7 Hills of Edinburgh, the West Highland Way ones (special Spiderman charity fund raising ones) etc. :-) G
