Uyuni, yep, Woolacombe Sands looks brutal and my HM plan says 4miles recovery for Saturday! I think I will jog around in Zone 2 and take in the lovely views.

Milton (original Cambridge) uses a hooter, IMS, which you can hear all the way back down what is quite a narrow start. The briefing is given from a rise in the middle of a patch of grass, and the runners are queuing for the start around that patch, which with a bit of amplification means it's quite hard to miss the briefing. Wimpole, on the other hand, the RD shouts "321go!" very quickly, so it's tricky to start on the dot even if you're at the front. An old school referee's whistle sounds like the perfect low tech solution. |

Milano was cool - they did their briefing near the start up the side of a hill, because it included a compulsory (!) pre start photo and they wanted to be able to see everyone. The hill allowed everyone to see and be seen include the kids and shorter folk! GG

The only possible place to brief at Edinburgh is at the start and the brieferd stand on a wall mid pack who hear best with those at front and back being equally disadvantaged.

Does anyone know of any interesting formulations of the parkrun athlete url to get summary data? e.g. if you add &eventNumber=0 it lists all your parkruns. That one is obvious because you can click that link at the bottom of your athlete history, but are there any hidden / creative ones that anyone is aware of?

I *do* know that if you put 'trout sniffer' in the postcode search for a well-known sports retailer, it used to bring up an animation of someone giving the middle finger.

Oh yes. Neckerau and Hasenheide have a pre-start photo.
