I started in Dec 08 and I am 22xxx. Plan to continue my tourist streak, currently at 15, with probably a trip to Springburn. |

We’re currently in Dolomites but heading to Basel tomorrow, for a parkrun in nearby Germany - Dreiländergarten parkrun. Haven’t done one in Germany before and it’s a slight regret that I didn’t do one the day before Berlin Marathon due to me being put off by bad weather and opting to stay in bed instead, so looking forward to hopefully doing a German one this weekend.

Oh, interesting stuff about barcodes - so I didn't miss out on a lower number by not sorting mine until mid-2010 when my home event made them compulsory then? It's obvious now I think about it 🤣 RooA I just looked back and my Dad ran at Bramhall the day you did your first 😀 He started on 17th Jan 2009 and was 25006... |

Curly45 course changed twice in the early days , I was at event 3 in 2007 not 1 for reasons I don't understand the last visit was for NYD 2011.

... I didn't bother until I absolutely had to in 2010 ... I've been told of someone who objected to barcodes and has parkrun frequently since but just hands his finish token back, so that's nearly 14 years of no results. Barcode history for newcomers - when they were introduced they were allocated alphabetically to people who'd already registered so A5 is Abigail and A2273 Zuzana which is why PSH is A16xx. After that it's in registration order. For some reason A1 to 4 weren't issued. |

I said the same about allocation on page 402 JJJ, hence my number is slightly lower than Pauls (so I believe)

That doesn't quite compute,. It may be correct for the date of parkrun registration, but the allocation of those numbers must have predated barcodes by a couple of years. I've been looking at the A numbers for Glasgow, where I first ran (eleven months ahead of the introduction, and optional use, of barcodes). Most are in the ballpark of my own number (I even found the person numbered one below me ). One runner is A14xxx, he started in May 08 at Bramhall Park. Further digging puts the allocation of numbers before the first Wimbledon (6.1.07), so, without pinning in down exactly, probably in the latter part of 2006. |

Sombrero-ho-ho-ho I've done Monsal once before, but it was opposite direction as there was a 10k on and we missed the start as I got lost. Hoping to do it properly this time 😂
