I did Upton House a few years ago and really enjoyed it too, nice course and very friendly team

9years ago I finally reached 250 parkruns. Having started at Bushy in Jan 2006(parkrun 69) It took a while. Daren Wood at that time was the man of numbers and we joked about the 500 becoming a thing. I told him I was in no rush and as of today I am only on 432. Covid did slow me down a little but not that much. I reckon I can make 500 by 2030 as a worst case.

However , my 8 year old is starting to say he wants to run and the Management are getting keen again so maybe just maybe things will pick up.

7 so far this year and 4 volunteers. My theory is the local must be doing something right for me to offer to help as I'd stepped away from that as well.

Plan is to be at Cannock this Saturday.

Good stuff Gobi. I'll check back on this thread in 7 years and see if you have the 500.

I remember when I started parkrun (BPTT) a lit of people would turn off before the last 200m if they didnt want to log a time so ha e lots of runs that weren't counted on the official register.

I do with a big photo archive existed from back in the day. There was one photo I remember that was a talking point in the cafe for having 5 Olympians in it! Another has Mo Farah on his mountain bike near the wooden horse.
