You're not RD or on the Core team of volunteers I don't think Bazo? For them it's a much longer stint and goes on after the course is closed down, in processing results. So I guess later isn't good for them. I agree though, it's about right time on Sat for me, getting out of my pit! :-) G

Isn't it funny what we all get used to?

As a southerner it was always 9am so normal and as somone who is up at 5am most days quite late.

On my first trip to a Scottish parkrun I turned up for 9am.

Never occured to me it would start later.

Ironic really as i grew up in Falkirk so am well aware of 9am not being light in December.

I’ve been pleased with the last two Irish ones being 9:30. Regarding training and dinner if training late I usually do a big lunch and skip a bigger evening meal.
Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) we’ll cross paths again soon.

Yes good point HG. I have offered a few times to help with set up as I can get there early but they have been declined.

Close down at cramond largely is done by the volunteers but I know token sorting and results are an extra task.

Baz you got turned down for set-up? :-O That a cardinal sin in my book as an RD! If you ever want to set-up at Dinton just let me know :-)

Haha. Yes I have offered twice when I was volunteering to pitch up early and was told no so I haven’t offered again.

I think they are ok for set up but are struggling to fill the actual roles

I will look forward to exploring the delights of your course Goofee, wearing my parkrun 250 shirt. But I won't grass up my friends who were dissing it 😉.

Anyone who did the original Inverness course could justifiably criticise my course design. But it was the best we could do at the time.

Raptors claws are coming to town Not in the vicinity, but I was in Belfast earlier in the year and took in Stormont parkrun which was fabulous and such a stunning setting. Running down towards the gate for the finish to speakers blaring out music was wonderful as were the volunteers who were just ace. Afterwards we strolled down to General Merchants for lovely veggie breakfast (481 Upper Newtownards Rd, Belfast BT4 3LL). We had dawdled as we were enjoying the company of some local milestone celebrants and still only had to wait 10 minutes for a table
