Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

We’re hoping to do Derry parkrun this Saturday. Looked on their page and it says there’s a temporary course. 5.3k anyone ever hear of the like?

Possibly also related to the bit in the Covid Framework that talks about allowing courses to be stretched a bit if necessary to provide space for social distancing at the start and finish?

Whinlatter has been slightly longer since restarting so that there’s more space to distance at the start

Not sure if this has been shared before, but here's a list of all the parkruns ranked by difficulty (easiest to hardest) based on running times set there (compared to people's running times set elsewhere, if i understand SSS right).

Slight quandary here about what to do this parkrunday. At least I thought so, until I realised the Fetch Thames Bridges Challenge event is next week and not this week, so I don't have to decide between Sandhurst (Wilson Index #38) or Burgess (new parkrun). Now I can do both :-)

(I think Burgess would have won.)

Thanks for posting KPM. So the hardest one I've done is Lyme Park at #698. I ran it with my son so didn't give my full effort. I remember quite a lot of uphill. Fastest I've done is Hull at #37.

Stonehaven one of the hardest too at #658.

Mount Edgcumbe (702) is the toughest I’ve done, but my local one that I do regularly is Torbay Velopark, which is 23rd. Parke (691) used to my local one and I’m yet to do Woolacombe Dunes (705), but I will at some point as it’s not too bad to get to for me.

I did Burgess back in 2018 - some long, mostly flat, straights and a loop around the lake. Fantastic community.

As one of the ED’s at Storeys Field I’m keeping very quiet about that list!
