I do, LD, and I wore them yesterday. The sea was very wavy though...

Thanks Richard I’ll remember Writsee if we ever manage a trip there on touring bikes.
It was very rough 🌊 KatieB, both waves & chop well done. But I still think where I swim is perishing cold, though Weymouth shallow sandy beach claims 15C. Not so easy for me to swim from as local beach though. Planning to try again today, water’s cleated up nicely

Finally swam at QE2 lake last night after a long time out of the water with shoulder problems and general busyness. Lake was 22C and I had a nice relaxed swim. Forgot to take my Garmin which may not have been a bad thing. I daren't look at my training log to see how long it actually is since I swam! Thanks to Ellem for taking me for a dip last weekend.

I've bought a new cossie to keep down at Sidmouth as I can't think I'll need a wetsuit now! I hope the water's cleared there too - it looked pretty brown on the webcam the other day after intense rain:-(

Just to update you all (in case anyone was interested ) following my question the other week about coming down with flu/hay fever-like symptoms every time I swim OW.
Went for a swim on Wednesday evening and took nasal spray an hour or so before hand. Used a nose clip during the swim then during my shower afterwards I gave my nose a good clean out (you don’t really need to know the details of that!). Finally, another nasal spray just before bed time. And you know what? I didn’t wake up all sneezy in the night!
Don’t know if that was the nose clip, the focus on sprays and cleaning, or both but I’ll make sure I’ll do the same next time.
Thanks again for everyone’s tips and advice to my question

Gordon, thanks, it’s useful to know it worked, I have family who react like you.
LD hopefully it’ll be a lot better, as it is here, if not perfect. It’s less frigidly cold too - but more like 14 than Scribbler’s 22, might have managed 25/30 minutes this morning but forgot to turn off garmin, it included sitting in the ☀️ drying off time & I’m still chilly now.

Just back from walking the dog along the beach, and it does look better thanks Ferret. Because the soil, rocks and sand are so red round here it doesn't take much to make the sea water quite turbid, and although it's clean mud it's not that enjoyable to swim in it.

Glad you're back in the water Scribbler
I'm on my way to OW swimming right now and I won't be in a wetsuit! Makes the journey much easier without having to lug it around.
