The lido is less than two miles from my house and as the schoolkids and families tend not to arrive until late morning, not too busy. I know it's not open water swimming, but it is open air swimming Are the lakes other Fetchies are swimming in as clear as usual? I understand the lake I usually swim in in still murky due to a combination of lack of rain and excessive tree pollen Normally it's very clear.

I'm hoping to get a couple of sea swims in after that. Very tempted to try a skins sea swim if the hot temperatures continue (North Sea)

They do a good job of keeping it relatively weed-free (it's in their interest to keep people coming back though, being a commercial lake). I wonder whether they treat it in some way, I heard a rumour that they dye the water to stop light getting through to the bottom and discourage the weed from growing, but I don't know whether that's true or not. It's a big lake, you'd need a lot of dye!
