First OW swim of the year done. It was colder than I expected but after 5-10 mins I was fine. Did about 1k in the end and got to see a crayfish!

Cheers ferret I felt unexpectedly good once I started so I thought I should make the most of it.

Well done! I'm crossing my fingers that the storms avoid us in the morning.

They look like mini lobsters scuttling over the lake bed, they are super cute!

I did my first (and second and third) sea swim this weekend. I was staying near a Cardigan. We swam at Mwnt on Sunday, there had been dolphins earlier in the day but not there when we swam unfortunately. Apparently we only did about 500m in about 40 minutes but it was very cold.
The next day we went to Llangrannog, it felt warmer and we swam probably the same distance in less time(not so much stopping to look for Dolphins). Then Tuesday at Llangrannog again but less swimming (it was colder) and we took some of the kids that were with us paddling on surf boards to investigate some secret beaches that you couldn't walk to. It was fantastic
