I can take no credit - that all belongs to the two joint ED's who have worked very hard. I'm just tagging along for the ride

I am currently eagerly waiting for news from HQ of a start date.
HQ is being a bit obstructive, perhaps thats a bit strong, authorative may be a better word (is it spelt correctly though?) on the parkrun name.
The team want to call it by the name of the town whereas HQ want to call it by the physical location - We are not keen on this because it is a name that no-one in the locale will recognise. It used to have a company name that is well recognised for miles around.
Whilst the HQ approved name should help have a low key start it might mean that we miss out on volunteers and local runners. Small issue at the end of the day but keen to get on with it

I was pondering names the other day. Greenwich parkrun is in the borough of Greenwich but in a park called Avery Hill so why is it not Avery Hill parkrun? We're in Lewisham (we were the first in Lewisham) but we're called after the park, not the borough.
