Runner Runner (me) asked a simple question and expressed no opinion. Account was suspended in seconds. Why? Im not a troll. I’m a park runner. I’m a runner. I’m a human being. I do have opinions and did state my like of this particular forum only to be zipped up and shut down and accused of being a troll. Blade Runner (me) was introduced in anger but still no derogatory or emotional hurt was intended. Just an observation. Never have I felt so belittled (I’ve led a charmed life) and I assume I must bow down to you superior parkrunners with your aloof and righteous views. Is this site run by a Trump maniac? Fetch Everyone…when it suits! Account also suspended in seconds. I apologise for my lack of understanding of a forum. I apologise for reading your closed forum. I apologise for showing an interest and being a parkrunner. I apologise for not standing for what you stand for. Watch out Kevcheckno…they are already gunning for you. I’m already dead as I assume this account will be suspended in seconds of posting. Roll on free speech and the new world. Roll on my home parkrun and the amazing people who attend. The second account was created and used to post before the first one was suspended. Therefore you were operating multiple accounts, which is trolling as far as I'm concerned, and not tolerated on our forum. Express an opinion by all means. Funnily enough, I'm off for a jog right now

In terms of the badge of honour, then, yes I think it *was* that years ago. Mainly because you could get on to the 'most events league' table with inaugurals (that has been removed now and is simply different event): parkrun.org.uk However, the original post was in 2013. I don't think anyone who was involved back then can disagree that parkrun is a different beast now. parkrun HQ change their stance on things as time goes by and the community have then to 'follow the lead'. Never-the-less each and ever person has to make their own decision if they go to a (new or old) parkrun or don't go. |
