Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Let's talk about inaugural parkruns after they've happened.

Going live the day before Christmas Eve is a bold move. Are they doing a Christmas Day event? ;-)

I would love to be at Exmouth for the inaugural but it will have to be event 2 for me. Might be quieter!

Just a quick question. I am trying to build a parkrun attendance map and need to update a data sheet. Did any new parkruns start last Saturday - 25 November (I don't think so but I'm not sure). TIA.

Daisy, there is usually a Boxing Day run in Exmouth hosted by the rotary club. It's 5k with a similar route to the Parkrun but including going up the ramps at Orcombe Point towards the geoneedle.

I haven't seen if they are doing it this year, if they didn't because of Parkrun it would be a shame in my opinion as it was always a fun event and raised money for charity.
I'm hoping to do Exeter on Xmas day

We won't be in Devon til New Year Hunky. Hope to bump into you at Exeter, Exmouth or Seaton some time.

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
