Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Nice one Linds - your session looked good.

Ness - we have an Adidas bench, bought by me some years ago.

Similar to this: adidashardware.com

Raffo says he shoulder presses using it - ether upright or at a slight angle. I will try it.

My sets of 6kg and 7kg dumbbells were delivered today. I'm sure the 6kg ones are twice the weight of my 5kg ones. Not sure whether to wonder what on earth I was thinking of or to relax in anticipation of being able to curl 2 x 6kg as easily as I can currently curl a 15kg barbell.

lol Velociraptor - see my comment to Pix a page or so back … but even giving you dramatic/comic licence, I didn’t think the difference would be THAT pronounced.

I went from 5kg to 8kg. My reps fell a bit dramatically. 😂 I'm reasonably happy doing Arnold presses with the 8kg now, though. I do an overhead carry with a 10kg dumbbell and I do have to help it up there with my other hand.

I feel a bit better now as I assumed Velociraptor was using dumbbells

When I say you doing 15kg biceps I was most depressed! Knowing it was a bar makes me feel a bit better! Sorry!

Does anyone use bands instead/ as well as dumbells?

My silly right hand is causing bother again and holding a weight is too uncomfortable.

Had a go with a band yesterday and my shoulders/triceps are aware of that this afternoon so am planning to build a routine in.

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.
