Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Drell, have you tried Kaffe Fassen patterns? I have just bought an old 80s book of his off Amazon. The shape of the clothes are a little old fashioned but the designs are beautiful. Also Ravelry might have some free designs that work or Lovecrafts.

I have made my first ever swatch this evening - thanks to Meglet for suggesting this previously - ahead of starting to knit a cardigan.

I've got a set of interchangeable needles, but not a 7mm (required by the pattern) so did the swatch on 6.5mm instead, as I think I'm a loose knitter. I'm hoping that gives the right size after blocking, or I'm going to have to buy more needles.
The Drops Melody (alpaca/merino) yarn knits up beautifully but I'll be adding lifelines (thanks to JK for that tip!) as I don't think it will unravel very easily due to its mohair like texture. I'm looking forward to getting started on my first ever cardigan.
