Fab modelling :-) Unfortunately there needs to be more room clearing and sorting before things go any further with the railway.

It's beautiful but I am so utterly out of my depth. Baby steps.

I get that, I see your earlier comment about space, I'm in the same boat TBH and no chance of doing a layout until one moved old water tanks out of the roof space! I'd suggest, once you know how much space you have available look for a book, or two on the railway modelling, there's also plenty of magazines, I think there is even a specialist TT one.

This was on offer a few weeks back amazon.co.uk and had quite a lot on sorting out the base board. I like the idea of being able to take it apart and store in a rack vertically. We're likely to move in the next few years, so I need to bear that in mind. No shortage of magazines here (that's what gave Mr RB the idea for the Christmas present!) and access to more on Readly, but not the TT one so I'll hunt that out. I found the Hornby TT club which is free, and has a digital magazine.

That looks like better advice than I can offer!

About This Thread

I can't believe that we've got Crafts, Gardening, Computer Games, but not model cars, trains...!

Just don't call them toys!

My particular hobby was 1/10th scale radio controlled car racing. I'm now looking to get into radio controlled planes. We have some Airfix model builders in here and Lego builders too. Any type of model vehicles really! Planes, trains, automobiles... boats, helicopters, anything! Come join in! :-) G
