Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

I do wonder what else they can apply the Bakeoff formula too. We’ve had baking, sewing, pottery, hairdressing, makeup, now jewellery. Wasn’t there a dog grooming show? It’s getting a bit much!

The Great Raemondo
I caught the last half or so of it - really didn't like the whole 'if you come in tomorrow and your plinth light is off it means you're at risk of being sent home' thing. Pointless cruelty, to my mind.

Some of the things people made seemed pretty, though. I would love to have a go at 'proper' jewellery making some time, rather than just beads and wire type stuff that I usually play with.

Not forgetting the interior design show with Alan Carr! Guess they could apply it to anything. I’ve not been a huge fan of the sewing bee since the first series but find myself still watching it. it’s all a bit ‘not very good’ in my opinion, the cream of British amateur sewers.... well not really just the people who wanted to be on tv. I’ve got a potter friend who seems to hate the pottery show.... I don’t seem to mind the ones with a craft that I have no ‘interest’ or background in, so I enjoy the pottery and the jewellery.

Fragile Do Not Bend
There was a photography one a few years ago, and wasn’t there a making-things-with-Lego one? Or did I dream that?

I’ve just finished my first garment. I’ve lots of knitting experience.. but I’ve bottled out of jumpers etc. I stuck to flat knitting and was prepared to take ages on the seaming. I’m very pleased. It’s a Hebridean yarn.. looks rustic but feels v nice.

I could tell it was going to be a bit big around the underarm/back, but I didn’t have the skill to adapt the pattern so the set in sleeve and armholes would still fit together. ( Next time I’ll pester the garment makers in this group for advice)
