Do you mean that thick woollen material, like the sort my mum used to use under sheets on top of the mattress? Or knitted blankets?

The old fashioned type that used to go with sheets - pre duvet days. I have several in my loft which have been there for years. I wondered if there was anything I could make with them -thinking of bags, if I washed them hot and felted them? Would that work?

I think I know the ones you mean. Aren't they already felted tho? Cut up and make slippers?

Yes I think they’re felted already. Heavy things that are annoying to make beds with and not actually that warm!! Bags maybe? You could use them as a base for needle felting? I think I’d be tempted to give them to charity or pet rescue. I found one in my loft, not having a clue how old it was I took it to the tip with some old duvets. |

I still use them over the mattresses! I need to destash a load of eyelash yarn - anyone interested? |
