Thanks. I love the colours. Almost hoping 4 balls are enough and I can do a hat with the 5th!

Love the colours and the striping in that, purps! You'll probably find you might gradually get more time for the crafty stuff as the children get older and a bit less hands-on.

Fragile Do Not Bend
It’s been ages since I’ve been on this thread!

Does anyone know if it’s possible to get some of that grippy stuff that they put at the top of hold-up stockings, that you can apply to your own clothes?

I have some Lycra shorts where the legs tend to ride up, due to my podgy thighs, so I was thinking if I can put some of that stuff on the bottom of the legs they might stay put.

I know you can get tape to stick clothes to your skin but I wanted something that I wouldn’t need to reapply each time.

Thanks Hells, it’s difficult to do a search when you don’t know what something is called!

I was hoping there would be something available that could be applied like glue, I’m not sure about trying to sew something onto stretchy fabric.

Would some of that pufffy paint work- the sort you put on the soles of socks to make them grip?

In an effort to stop the sock mountain from taking over the house I have joined a project to knit replica historic silk stockings, the originals of which were found in a shipwreck a couple of years ago and are likely to have belonged to someone from the British royal court in around 1640 - trc-leiden.nl

As an out worker not in the Netherlands I'm waiting for my test swatch package of 3 types of silk and some 0.75 mm needles. Very excited.
