RS, I suspect I will have to dry them... I initially wanted to make tinctures and remedies myself... but recent draconian EU regulations mean that would require me to buy a licence for £30.000

Evening job hunters. After 6 applications and 5 interviews (there are only so many jobs in the whole of scotland so that is a lot) I got a job offer last night. It's with the service I've been on placement with, but is a 12 mth contract and not in the ideal location. Then today I got a call from a service I interviewed with nearly 8 months ago offering me a permanent post - but it would mean relocating!!Absolute dilemma

So, supposing post A was permanent too, and also required relocation, which would you prefer?
And where would the relocation be to? Somewhere you'd like to be, except that it's not where you are now? Or somewhere that you'd merely be prepared to put up with?
There are 3 variables here: the job itself, whether it's permanent, and the location. Try to separate the variables (and remember that permanent isn't necessarily a good thing, if you don't like the job or location), and listen to what your gut says

i have just typed a response to that actually looking at those factors - which I have deleted as you don't need to know it all. I think I have an answer but it means taking a risk

Sleep on it. Several times, if possible. Live with your likely decision for a few days, and see what it feels like. Imagine telling your friends about the new job and why you've chosen it. Are you apologetic? Do you feel that you're faking enthusiasm? Do you feel the need to justify yourself? All these are bad signs, in my experience. Though having said that, one job that turned out really well was like that to start with...

Just handed my notice in, fed up with my work and the bosses doing nothing about concerns.

That's what happened in my last role Timaru and I'm off again in about 3 months from this one too. *Sigh*
It seems that the world of work at the moment doesn't work to logical principles.

The world of work is an uncertain place at the moment isn't it. Still no point in being miserable in a job

I agree. Even though I am going to struggle to pay the mortgage next month I would rather be happy.
HP - good advice from Drell re: your two offers! Any decision made?
