I saw Wake Up Boo and thought "That was only about 10 years ago. Big G must be in his 30s." Err, how could that be 1995?! Great shout though, brilliant song. Never listened to anything else by them. Will have a try tonight on Spotify. Thanks for some great song shouts people. And early job memories too. Great fun. G |

My first “first” ever job was a paper round. 12 years old… 1975. The first of many part time jobs that led me to have the most disposable income I would ever have in my life !! The song I’m sure ( without looking it up ) was Thr Goodies, Funky Gibbon!! |

First job was as an apprentice fitter & turner at Glaxo Ulverston in September 1982, Eye of the Tiger by Survivor was at No.1 that week! No radios at work as they they were banned from site (along with matches, lighters and self-igniting cigarettes) because of all the flammable materials. To this day I've still never seen a self igniting cigarette?? |

We’re still in touch a lot on WhatsApp and some of us meet up in pairs occasionally, but we’ve not all got together since before Covid. Somehow it’s been hard to organise. But we’re meeting up next year, as it’s 30 years since we started Uni. 30 years! Sometimes I can’t remember what I did last week, but I can still remember certain things from that time as if it happened yesterday. Great memories. I’m in a Whatsapp group of four, called Class of 75. Next October will be 50 years since we met. The song of our uni years is this one (we all had red Kickers 🙈) |

To this day I've still never seen a self igniting cigarette?? that's funny because in the labs in Greenford in the early 80s my boss would smoke a pipe (we had bunsen burners on open benches, a pipe was not really going to be more dangerous - those were the days, before safety elves got sensible. Cjristmas pudding cooked on the steam bath anyone? ) |
