It's a little cooler up here today Muttley which is nice, been too hot for a few days.

Wise choice Nellers, and you'll be in Mrs Nellers good books 😁

Keeping the boss on side, Nellers -- you know it makes sense.

Just 10,000 metres at UT2 this morning. Only problem was sweat getting in the eyes. Tis a bit warm here, although not 30+ like it is upcountry.

I needed to do something to keep Mrs N sweet. I just surprised her with a new Garmin.

For me, not for her. I just hadn't told her I was spending £185.

I think I've got away with it. Yesterday I got up, washed up, cleaned the kitchen, hung the washing out then took her a cuppa in bed and told her about my pressie after suggesting we go for a walk together instead of me doing a rowing sesh.

I'm not as daft as I look.

Also bought a new fan for the gym which arrived tonight and saved my session. 3 x 10 minutes at r20 UT1. With the fan the temp dropped by 8 degrees in there while I rowed.

Nellers you are a genius! If I give you my address can you do the same for Mrs Craggy on Sunday while I go and collect a new watch 😁

Good session, sounds like the fan was a good investment!

Well done Muttley, glad it's a little cooler for you.

Tonight's session was supposed to be a 5/4/3/2k rate ladder, but due to the heat I reduced it to 3/3/2/2k with 2r... r18/20/22/24. That was enough for today!

Really struggled this morning. It was supposed to be 3 x 14 minutes at UT1 but the going was tough and the third rep was more like UT2. Thick and sticky sea mist here this morning so maybe that's why. Anyway, it's metres in the bank so onwards and upwards I suppose.

Well done getting anything done in this heat Muttley. I see Craggy has been knocking out some metres too.

Did my first "Transport" session tonight. 6 x 2 minutes @ r28/ 2 minutes recovery. Every single rep averaged r29. It's hard doing this stuff at set stroke rates!

Haha good point, maybe skip the cuppa in bed 😳
Good session mate, it is hard to hit rates on shorter reps as it takes a while to get into a rhythm.

Nice work Muttley, well done for getting through that final rep, 5k was enough for me last night.

Today appears to be a little cooler.
