21.1 today in just under 2 hours around those hills. It was windy (rather than gale force) today. I think the total gain (and loss) was more than 1km! Garmin says 567m but Garmin also seems to think the airport is on the flat when in fact it is at the top of the biggets hill in Nuuk (and I ran round it twice). 35k scheduled for Wednesday; forecast is good. It will be my final test before Edinburgh marathon. |

A little bit stop/start today as my running mate brought along a friend's dog which needed some attention, and also he needed to do some leg stretches at our turn around point. I didn't think to stop my watch at these times so my overall time is artificially long. I certainly felt as if I was running as fast if not faster than last Friday (during the times that we were actually running).

8 mile long run this afternoon. Didn't really want to go, but I'd left my car at a friends house last night so I had to go & pick it up. Once I got out there it was alright, nothing too taxing.. until mile 7, at which point I remember friends house is at the top of a very big, very steep hill. That was not fun.

Blackpool 10k. Apart from the 2hr drive there and the 2hrs back. It was a good 10k circuit with the 2nd half easier than the first leading to a shiny new pb of 50.49 after 6 years in the waiting! Still had some left in the tank too which is promising for a sub 50!

35k in an impressive 2.17 around a very hilly Nuuk (with 4 loo stops and lots of photo and other excuses for which I stopped the clock, so not as impressive as it sounds). Last LSR before Edinburgh. I'll blog tonight or tomorrow when I get the chance.

oooo, and for my troubles, I unlocked the 20 mile badge (which I thought I'd got already for 32k but obviously not) and 150 miles a month.
