My main focus is the rowing right now WS, and anything that gets me a bit more power is helpful. Weight isn't any sort of detriment either so a bit of extra meat won't bother me like it did when I was running more seriously.

Also I'm getting older so putting some work in for a bit of muscle mass and strength cant do any harm.

What’s the lowest thing on the scale Nellers? I can do sets of 5 pull ups (assisted) at the moment so at a push I could do. 5/10/15 chin ups, press-ups, squats, but I don’t know how many repeats I will be able to do. I need something challenging but achievable.

Well really it's whatever you think would be hard but do-able, CW. It's meant to be a challenge.

10 rounds with a half mile run at either end is a "Half Murph" and that's a pretty decent test. Would that sound like an option?

Ok. I think that might be possible. Just try some squats which were ok (in isolation!) I’ll try doing sets every day until we get closer to the date then decide.

Just looked at the squat video again, think I was cheating a bit!

The good thing about us all doing this remotely is that there's no judge to make sure your movements are to the required standard (and honestly, if you're working I think that's fine).

I reckon a lot of my press ups today would have been called as I got more tired and didn't go quite so low as I should!

I'm honestly thinking of starting with a quarter Murph. Is that a thing?

It is now mate. Like I say It should be a challenge but an achievable one with some work, otherwise what's the point. If that's the challenge for you then it's perfect.

So 25/50/75? And how are you thinking to partition them, or is the plan to go straight through? That would be impressive!

Since I have about 4 weeks to train, I reckon a quarter at the end of weeks 1 and 2 followed by a half and full in weeks 3 and 4 might be a logical progression.
