Thanks for the comments folks. I have been dabbling and playing at this since we started lockdown in March on and off though. Most of the press ups I've logged have been done in 10s along with 5 pull ups and 15 squats.
Also, CW, now you can do a few you'll get better fast if you add them in regularly, or alternatively use a band or strap and do a rowing motion for now until you get up to doing full pull ups in the necessary numbers.
Something like this wit ha band from your bar maybe?
good videos, ta. I dont have any bands or straps so I'll keep going with the bar. The bar I have it one hung from a door frame so I have to start with bend legs to get full arm extension, but that's what I've been doing. I'll try and put in some squats as well to see if I can do a set per coffee break.
That's what I have at home too CW, and and where I've done most of my pull ups this year. The bent legs thing is the only way with that set up, which is why I'm planning on using the monkey bars at the local park as much as I can while I still can, and for the actual attempt on 29/10.
I’ve decided to forgo the challenge due to my current health which is restricting training. Good luck to everyone that has a go, I’ll continue watching 🙂
LOL. I decided I couldn't do the pull-ups. I guess I could look into alternatives but don't have any bands. Anyone have any links for cheap (but good!) bands?
