It's very interesting though?

"“In reality, the virus clinically no longer exists in Italy,” said Alberto Zangrillo, the head of the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan in the northern region of Lombardy, which has borne the brunt of Italy’s coronavirus contagion.

“The swabs that were performed over the last 10 days showed a viral load in quantitative terms that was absolutely infinitesimal compared to the ones carried out a month or two months ago,” he told RAI television. "

Has anyone else read anything with any scientific backing saying that the Corona Virus is "waning in strength" over a few months?

Canute - our most scientifically informed reader and writer perhaps?! :-) G

Here is another Reuters storing saying that the WHO says the *opposite* i.e. no evidence of losing potency!

Just read the article it’s certainly retesting. I had been reading up on the Spanish flu and that seemed to just die out too let’s hope and pray this is indeed real and we do come out if it soon with minimal casualties.

my take is that whilst this is theorectically possible, there is insufficient evidence to read too much into it at present. There are other reasons to be optomistic though.

Would be good if those comments were given equal publicity in the media to the original stories, but that is never the way, I suppose.

What is making you optimistic Doc? Always nice to hear some (realistic) optimism.
